Yesterday we competed in a Lone Star BBQ Society sanctioned contest in Red River, NM. This was our 3rd year cooking this event. We finished third overall the past two years. The 3rd time was a charm. We finished 6th in chicken, 5th in ribs, 1st in brisket and took Grand Champion honors against 30 other teams. It was our 2nd year in a row to win 1st in brisket at this event. It's fun winning brisket against all those Texans. Especially since we don't use the Texas crutch!
Grand prize was a discada stand.

Way to go!!!!
I've been working hard on our brisket....it's our glaring weakness...so I think highly of anyone who scores well in that category.
Congratulations...well done! _________________ Char-Griller Smokin Pro
