I'm dusting off my training to judge my first KCBS contest this weekend. Any suggestions or advice?

Cleanse your palate!

A good bourbon should do it.

if you get my food...all 9's please...everyone else should get 6's.

Just be fair. if it is great bbq. It gets a 9. if it is average it gets a 6. good is an 8. Dont over think it. have some good food, treat each entry fairly and follow the rules.

Thanks all. It was an awesome day. Some great entries, some missed the mark, but very impressive. Best advice is true---go with your first impression and be consistent.
