About 3weeks ago Debbie got a call from Norway asking if we could have a little party for Jan on his Birthday. Debbie of course said well your not here yet Very Happy
Friday Jan and his wife Janis along with their adorable daughter arrived in Texas and on to Vidor. Saturday morning was spent catching up a bit then shopping for something to cook. We decided on 5 racks of beef ribs, 3 racks of spares, some sausage, 10 lbs. of leg quarters and some ABT's.
Here we are prepping the beef ribs with Kosher salt and course black pepper.

On to the pork spares.

Two racks and tips with our rub.

One rack with Kosher salt and course black pepper.

The cooker ran all day at between 230° and 250° I am getting used to her with every cook.

The finished leg quarters.

The pork ribs.

The beef ribs.

Our daughter and son-in-law along with Derek and Zoe our grandaughter came over to visit and eat.

Debbie had a cake made for Jan, it was awesome. Very Happy

This afternoon was spent visiting before our Good Friends headed off to search out some more Texas excitement.

Here ya go Troy. Very Happy

I really enjoy those little get togethers with friends you haven't seen in a while and being their birthday. Doesn't always have to be a big loud party, sometimes you can have just as much fun in the little get togethers. Looks like you guys were already into good times as soon as you started rubbin the ribs. Happy birthday and good choice of meats k.a.m. for the occasion.

Happy Birthday my man Jan Very Happy

Kevin all the food looks great, glad to hear your getting her dialed in. Must be playing with it quite a bit Wink

When I seen the "here you go Troy" pic, I thought it was for the awesome picture of my little sweetie, my how I love that little girl, and wow has she grown since I seen her Very Happy

So after I got off the phone with Jan Saturday and you guys were at the store, I'm sure the convo went down like this..."sure Jan, we can cook all this meat on the cooker brother, but your gonna have to take a pic with me and my skunk beer and your gonna have to look like you like it"

Kevin, I'd have to say if I had a choice between your skunk beer and Jan's nasty a$$ potato whiskey...I prolly go with...the potato whiskey Shocked That's got to tell you how bad that old mil is Razz

Sure wish I could have made this trip, but a future visit is in the works Very Happy
