New Contest : ALABAMA

Hi all, i would like to announce a new contest in north alabama that my volunteer fire dept. is hosting this year. It will be on October 13th, in guntersville, alabama. it is a backyard type competition with only 2 catergories : chicken and ribs.
entry fee is $100 per team , and you must cook both catergories to be elegible for grand cham prize $.
Prize Purse is $2500 cash.
top 3 from each catergory will get paid.
1st = 500
2nd= 300
3rd =200
grand champ is $500 also.
we also have a kids q section paying $200 in prize $.

meat inspections will be from 7am until 0930am the day of event. once meat is inspected, you can start cooking. turn-in time will be 4pm and 430pm. winners announced at 6pm.
the event name is "smoke on the water"
it will be held lakeside on guntersville lake.

have had a few questions, so here goes.
4pm turn in is chicken.
430 turn in is the ribs.

garnish is iceburg lettuce only.

entry fee deadline is OCT 1st. but we would like teams to rsvp in advance so we know how much room we need.

we will provide the turn-in boxes for the teams.

and yes, if your meat gets inspected at 715am, then you can start cooking at 715am.

team spot sizes are 12'x12' minimal . up to 20'x20' max. same price, just specify your space needs on registration form.
