|
|
This project started out with a Scuba tank and a Trailer Jack. (No, drugs we not involved on the concept.) I came up with this idea with a Buddy of mine and had some help from a few of my Students at the College.
We named it PISSED Presure Itensified
Sausage Stuffing EngineeredDevice.
I got the tank on Craigs List for $20 and bought the trailer jack on sale for $25. This one was a cheap build. It performed well overall. I need to make a small modification on the tank. it needs a clamp to hold it down when stuffing. Other than that, I took about 4 minutes to stuff the 12lb. capacity thanks to my Cordless drill.

Awning Guy, that is a work of art.
I like the beer in the classroom idea. Not too many students skipping, eh? _________________ Gunny 3073/4044/8411

shape the piston end to match the taper on the housing and you will reduce the left over meat to about whats in the stuffing tube. _________________ Rod |

Oregon smoker Thanks Man. It was a fun build.
RodinBangkok Good observation, Your right. The piston being flat and the tank round wastes about a pound of meet. I knew this going in and decided to go with the current design, I intended doing large quantities of sausage at a time and figured I would have some patties for the next day. _________________ First Build

If you look close there is a pull pin on the front of the tank. Pulling the pin detaches the tank and in the dishwasher it goes. The piston is held in with a nut and bolt. that I hand wash because i'm not sure if the dish washer will screw it up. _________________ First Build
