Curious as to how you all are disposing of grey water. I was told by HD that I may have to find a commisary, and dispose of it throught them. Also was told that any chemicals,ie;cleaning solutions, etc, need to be disposed of in a seperate drain. _________________ Custom 250 gallon offset.

My understanding is - your commissary can be 1 or several places - a campground with wastewater disposal can work for your grey - or the floor drain or slop sink at your commissary. I was told by a honey truck driver that what we do can simply be dumped down a storm drain as its not "black" water. When I used 3 tubs as a sink under a tent, I was told that any drain or open area was fine - not sure why the exact same water, now in a fancy tank, is any different!! _________________ Money Maker

When I had the portable kitchen (10x10 building) going, I used a 5 gallon bucket. HD said to just throw it in the ditch.
Funny, they wouldn't let me hook up a drain line to it though. _________________ Gunny 3073/4044/8411

I will look into the campground as that is a great idea.Unfortunately, the only commisary I could find is over an hour away.I was talking to a gentleman the other day that was set up roadside vending bbq out of an old RV. He disposes of his grey down a sanitized floor drain. Not quite sure where as I didnt get a chance to ask as he had customers in line and I didnt want to keep him from serving them. He did however mention that he had a mop sink on board so that enabled him to dispose of chem. solution.HD lady told me that she has never seen a conc. trailer with an on board mop sink.so that tells me that there is an easier way. _________________ Custom 250 gallon offset.

FYI - my commissary is a mini mart gas station - they have a restaurant license for their coffee shop area so it covers all the bases! Only downside is the manager, a real piece of work - but the owner is a great guy! A few moinks, some occasional Brisket and an undisclosed amount of green and I have a commissary! _________________ Money Maker

My gray water goes in the storm drain, but I always put some Clorox in the tank to keep it from smelling. _________________ Tender - Juicy - Smoky - Goodness

I use an RV dump site.you have a clean out plug for your sewer at the house?you can drain it into there also.you just tell the hd that it is dumped at the com. or whereever they want. _________________ Good BBQ is all smoke and beers!

Yup.
Don't get me wrong, I'm typically a by the book kinda guy but I'll be damned if I'm gonna go out of my way to dispose of soapy dish water at a specially designated HD approved facility. _________________ BBQ is a fundamental element in all American culture.
