I have been trying to get the Costco located just a mile or so from the event site, to carry whole packers, and the butcher says he is going to TRY to have a few cases available for the Aug 17-18 KCBS event.[ They always have flats only] I am waiting for a final call from him, just wondering how many of you would be interested in buying as he is willing to try to get them in. I told him I would buy a couple cases in the event none of you do as I will be vending at the event and this area in general year round anyhow, but if a lot of you would buy there, I will try to get him to get a lot. very few places around here have even heard of whole packer brisket, it seems - Restaurant Depot runs out too often [ 30 miles S of Grafton] and GFS specializes in small, extra fatty packers.....Many in this area wants to see this event take off - just trying to do my part! Any input would be helpful!

Tony, you know what I am looking for if they get some let me know and I would buy several. If they get them in I could come over anytime. Last weekends vend was pretty good PP Nachos gone in 2 hrs .

Just today they got in 8 cases of pretty good looking packers - only saw one as big as 15# from what he pulled out for the showcase, but bought 2 cases - havent opened them yet but will see if there are any / many bigger!- will report back if anyone in Wi cares....

pounders in each case - they are marked 9 and up - most were up!! I've used the big ones bro, but with 6 cases left, there should be a few big'uns to go around!! I'll watch for ya!

Just to finish this thread - Coz ended up getting a pair of briskets and some ribs from Costco last minute due to situations beyond his control - Meat Dept manager busted his a$$ to help a competitor out, busting open cases, allowing COZ to get what he needed.
COZ allowed me to hold his GC prize for a brief moment - great time, my first KCBS vend, clearly NOT Coz's first rodeo!
