"Anyone looked at the price of skirt or flank steak recently?"
Seen some today (both) that was almost that much, used to be almost a throw away or stew meat...
I'm thinkin' the fancy-smanchy TV show types have wrecked flank / skirt / & a few others by turning it into pop culture food....
I don't usually get wound up about stuff, but some of that activity irks me.... _________________ Have Fun Playin' with Yer Food !!!

Geronimo - I've tried both Sams and Costco. They both give me the same look (One head, two heads, three heads... ).
k.a.m. - Thanks! You're absolutely right, I was more than happy with my KISS results (and Big Ron's rubs helped a little bit ).
OS - Thanks! Yeah, I can't friggin believe the prices they charge for things like flank and skirt nowadays . Makes me feel old saying - '20+ years ago you could buy skirt steak for under $1/lb'. Back then Americans wouldn't eat it, mainly the Asians and Latinos. Now it's become fashionable to cook the 'lesser cuts' and it's driven the prices skyward (IMHO).
