get a strip of sheet metal about 1" wide 12" long, drill three holes one on each end and one in the middle, form a V shape, attach the handle to the outside holes with a couple of bolts and the middle hole goes over the threaded rod you have already spin a nut on the rod and you have a removeable handle! and only need to make one, just take it off for the next one. _________________ Good BBQ is all smoke and beers!

I made up 4 concrete forms out of 2x4's. 12" square.
Filled them up with quick crete and put a foundation bolt into it.
Let it set up and put the nuts and washers on. bolted through the legs.
I've had people even tie down to mine. _________________ Gunny 3073/4044/8411

Jarhead, the ones you made would be even heavier than mine and would really hold down the fort.
They do work well. I think the wind would tear up the popup frame before it would lift it off the ground.
If it gets to blowing like that, it's time to take 'er down. _________________ Tender - Juicy - Smoky - Goodness
