If serving on a plate, I pull long pcs and serve w/bread, dinner roll ect I find longer "strings" more appealing just plated.YRMV.. I Usually do sammies at home and vending, and pull into smaller, not so long pcs. pile high with a nice dallop of sweet mayo based slaw which has some vinegar in it! Bun / meat / red BBQ sauce / slaw/ top of bun / apply face! Same applies to taco's - maybe some pico or guac! _________________ Money Maker

Yes, the Whole Hog Cafe serves it that way, along with a roll. _________________ Joe |

You can serve it in a pan and offer bread and buns with it. I've never eaten PP by itself, not that you couldn't. _________________ The Demolition Man - Demolition Man BBQ |

Piled on a plate has been as a part of a combo plate every time I can remember.....
Sammies are white bread & /or roll with slaw, every time i can remember.....
PP at home looks like this: Minimum 12" roll, horseradish mayo (pit beef sauce), slaw down both sides,
pork (no sauce, it had better stand alone!)
avacado w. blk pepper......eat all w/ freezing cold root beer....

Here `s a twist....
" The Works" Its got it all....
Toasted white bread one or two slices, serving of pulled pork, beans & top it all off with coleslaw.
Same basic thing as a BBQ Sunday or BBQ Cup but on a plate. |

I have done the same thing on the wife's suggestion. She has more time for creative ideas. _________________ #3 LIAR

I usually just fill a bowl with PP then give it a good shot of Roxy's mustard/vinegar sauce and chow down. I have a slice of bread handy to sop up any sauce in the bottom of the bowl. _________________ I was taught to respect my elders. It's just getting harder to find them.

I prefer it on a bun or plain white bread with a light sauce and slaw on top, but just by itself with a little sauce is great too. I also like to use it as a substitute for anything you put meat on. Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't.

Breakfast burritos were a hit at our recent event. PP, scrambled eggs, cheese, pico de gallo wrapped in a 10 inch heated burrito. _________________ Ole Hickory SSE |
