I went over to my local Ace place last weekend & to my surprise they had one bag on the shelf that was part of an order for a guy who want to try it. The manager told me once the Cowboy stuff is gone they are going to carry Wicked Good Lump. Well from reading all the posts here and at the nakid whiz site i told the fella that if they stocked it i would buy it.

I bought the last bag. I had a chance to try the W.G. Lump at a Big Green Egg Fest Saturday. I am very impressed! Huge chunks of lump, burned great & one load lasted me all day on my medium Egg. I even jacked open the vents to do higher heat frying.

Don't know if the lump helped but i took 3rd in the Most Unusual thing on an Egg & 2nd in the Iron Chef category. Was it the cook, the cooker or the Wicked Good Lump? Wink

Ace now carries Kamado Joe lump instead of WGWW.

http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=21529906

I ordered a bag, it came in last week. The bag says Made in Argentina.

There's some discussion on other boards indicating it's sourced from the same woods as WGWW.

I'll post a cook thread when I test the KJ lump.
