| I have a chance to vend an event but can't sell Pork ribs, Pulled Pork. I would be the third food vender. The event had 9000 people last year. So I was thinking of serving BBQ Nachos (Pork or chicken), Turkey Legs, Pork sickle (Pork chop on a stick), and maybe beef ribs. What do you think? Any other ideas or thoughts? Thanks everyone. |

I do good selling chicken legs... even the average sized ones, bought for .99 cents a pound, still triple yer money at $1.00 each. Most folks buy 2 or 3 legs at a time.
I grill them over lump, toss in a chunk or two of apple every once in a while for the "smell-O-vision". Great low ball item. |

That was me i believe... i get the Bar S polish from walmart 16 count for around $4 a package.
If i`m selling pulled pork &/or brisket sandwiches for $5-6 each i like to offer chicken legs &/or polish on a stick for $1 each. Seems pretty cheap but the cost/labor to cook is pretty low. The polish dogs grill fast & the legs only take a short time to grill also. Having these items visible to the public eye while vending gets there attention & there money. Mom & Pop buy the sandwiches and get the legs and dogs for the kids. |
