|
|
I had to try this. I love both lasagna and fatties.
I sautéed together:
1 sausage, green peppers, onion, canned mushrooms, and minced garlic.
I mixed together:
1 lb of ground beef
3 Hot Italian sausages (just over a pound)
3 Mild Italian sausages (just over a pound)
Rolled out with a light dusting of Italian bread crumbs and rub.
Some Provolone cheese.
Lasagna noodles, sauce, and freshly grated Parmesan.
More Provolone, noodles, sauce, Parmesan, and the sautéed mixture.
Rolled.
Ready for the Prosciutto wrap. This stuff was very thin and a PITA to work with.
Used nearly all of these 2 packages. Sorta gave up as I was getting frustrated.
Not the prettiest thing.
We'll just call it 7 lbs, eh?!
Into the beer fridge for a 24 hour rest.
I have to work til midnight, so it will be done Sunday pm.

Looks good.
Are the lasagna noodles pre-cooked?
Nice selection of beer in the fridge. You will also have to explain to our American friends what drink Motts Clamato is used for.... |

I am excited to see how this turns out.
If it works, I will be making one on Wednesday since I have the day off.
Please update once you are done! |

Thanks for looking everyone!
I know it's April Fool's Day,
but we got a light dusting of snow overnight. Not lying!
I will update the results of this smoke later, for sure!

Yes.

It's used for a Bloody Caesar cocktail. Delicious!

It wasn't too bad. I sprinkled some water on the plastic wrap prior to flattening the meat mixture. Works good. I believe I read that in one of Beertooth's many fatty threads. This fatty did not roll into a nice cylinder shape. I just hope no cheese leaks out.

Thanks, Rick! Once the weather warms up,
I can't leave it on the floor of the garage anymore.
So I will have to use the top shelf then.
Of course, then there is a jar or 2, or 4 of pickled eggs in there as well. _________________ "If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy."

Patience, my dear Ringers!
No joke, CB! It just went on. Currently 2pm EDT.
3rd period starting soon of the Penguins/Flyers game.
I love watching the battle of PA!
Found this hiding in the garage.
8% alc/vol. 750mL. It's a meal in a bottle.

Sorry for the delay. I started to make a dent in the 2nd shelf of the beer fridge.
Coming off after about 4½ hours.
Resting ....... then cut.
Plated, then covered with some Marinara sauce, and salad.
Not much more to say ......... it was absolutely delicious _________________ "If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy."
