here are a few pictures of my still in process build. Iv never seen or used a reverse flow cabinet smoker, I just like the different concept. soooOOooo here we go.....

Here is a shot of the start of the inside, added 1/8 inch plate to the fire box ater on all 4 walls.

Here is the heat duct to carry the heat to the top of cooker. Its tapered to kinda force the heat out at top and will be directed in a circular motion when entering the cook chamber. hope it really works.....LOL

Here is my 1600 degree insulation. got it locally for 1.50 a sq. ft. not bad I dont think.

Please keep us updated. I've been considering doing something similar myself. I'm converting an old fridge and wood furnace into a smoker. The furnace stands half the height of the fridge. Reverse flow just seems like it should work nice, but the lack of anyone else doing it that I could find had me nervous. Seeing your post encourages me to take the chance on my build. Thanks

Nice job, reminds me of my Backwoods Party. If it cooks as good as the BWs you got yourself one nice cooker.

Going to TRY..... and fire her up for a test burn this weekend. If it works I will remove the outer skin and paint everything between the 2 walls and insulate her and weld the outer skin on.......whewwwww still LOTs of work left. thanks for looking.
