We catered our LAST party today (new owners take over on the 15th of March).
The party was a 25th wedding anniversary with 60 invited guests held at the local Eagles lodge in one of our neighboring towns. We waited 30 mins past our scheduled serving time but even with that, only 15 people showed up
I know they get the left overs but it is still sad for them to know that 45 of their closest friends and/or relatives had something better to do today. _________________ Where rumors end and legend lives forever... |

I've worked with the public for 39 years now & have watched the degradation of 'human fellowship'.
Nobody gives a turd about anybody else nowadays.
It's all " I...I...ME...ME & What can YOU do for ME" _________________ This stuff ain't rocket science,,,Great Gramma cooked on a horizontal-partitioned wood smoker every day! |

I guess your client never bothered with RSVP, when they sent out the invitations, which they should have done before they gave you the final head count.
A turnout like that would be disappointing, but it seems it may have been their own fault.
Hope you enjoy your retirement Marv. _________________ Tender - Juicy - Smoky - Goodness

Marv, I'm gonna steal from your signature. You should change it to this:
When you have the perfect balance of smoke and spice, you don't mess with it...you Retire.
