Well it has been exactly 3 weeks since I made my couple jars of pickled eggs......cracked them open today and gave them a shot.....they were good.....It was a close race but I think the steak and eggs was my favorite.

I think when this years pepper crop comes in im going to do a spicy version of the regular pickled egg.

Sorry to call you out on your math, CB, but hasn't it only been two weeks?
I'm not trying to be a d!ck, either, just sayin'. Smile Wink

Glad you liked them! Let them age longer and they will develop more flavour.
Once you do the hot eggs, they may become your favourite. Cool
I call the hot eggs my "premium" egg, as they require so much time to mature.

You can have those "hot pepper" eggs... I know you guys are chili heads and I did enjoy those ones you gave me but I sure do prefer the normal style with steak and eggs as my favorite.

With all the different flavours of McCormicks I got to wonder what some of them would be like.. Imagine greek pickled eggs or Tex-Mex..

Just saying.. Wink

I got to ask, how long will those eggs last in the fridge..? Found a jar with 6 or 7 way in the back..

With everyone preaching food safety these days ...I'm not sure how long a pickled egg keeps in the fridge.....I remember the old days of going into the hotel for a few brew and that hazy old jar of brine with three eggs in it sittin on the end off the bar......no one ever thought twice about eating one.....I never got sick off of em. Laughing Laughing

Okay, Roxy, what's it doing way in the back of the fridge? Shocked
Are they the ones I gave you in November of 2011?

Anyways, I have eaten my eggs even a year after they were made, and I never had issues.
And like CB said, he never got sick either from his experiences.
Just sayin' ........ trust me! Wink

No I got those ones at the front of the fridge. I got a half a jar of the montreal chicken eggs from the fist batch you gave me.

I have yet to try Mac's Recipe. Soon, I hope.
