So my wife and I were at the grocery store shopping and a container caught my eye. It was for Curly's pulled pork BBQ. http://www.curlys.com/pulled-bbq.php I took a curious look at the packaging claims and chuckled. It has stamped on the front "Naturally Hickory Smoked". Now the only way I can see this happening is if a poor unfortunate pig ran through a Hickory forest while it was on fire. _________________ Can I get an order of fat, dipped in fat, wrapped with fat with some fat on the side?

I have tried it. It tastes just like crock pot PP.
I'd rather have a fried bologna sandwich _________________ "if you cant cook it in bacon grease it ain't worth eating"

I know a guy up here in Canada that does comercial BBQ and his product is cooked in very large quantity in industrial size smokers. I have eaten his Q and it is dang fine. It may not be as wonderful as fresh pulled pork from a true road side but the store product is a decent sandwich..
Now it may not be "natural" smoked but it sure is smoked.
The way I see it is like this.. If some one buys a pack of heat and serve PP and likes it enough to seek out this offering from other places and gets to try real BBQ..
Then its a win/win if ya ask me. _________________ Chargriller Akorn

Just recently saw Curly's in stores. I use to buy the tubs of Lloyd's just to get my Que "fix". Of course that was before I started smoking my own. _________________ I was taught to respect my elders. It's just getting harder to find them.

I'm glad it was naturally smoked I here the artificially smoked stuff causes your children to be born with 7 fingers & 9 toes and drool allot. I loves me some fried Bologna with grilled onions and horseradish mustard on thick cut toasted homemade bread. _________________ Never met a cow that I didn't like with a little salt and pepper.
