I normally buy a 7-8 pound butt but the only one I could find at the butcher was a 10 pounder. I put in this morning at 275 rather than the standard 225-250. Will cooking at this higher temp make any difference in the end result?
Thanks in advance,

| Other than cooking it faster, no difference. |

As CliffC says only in timing.
The extra 25° will make about a 3 minute a lb difference to the time it will take, foiling, (if you foil), once it goes past 160° - 165° internal will make a 12 -15 minute / lb difference, so if you normally cook an 8 lb butt, (no foil), in 75 minutes / lb or 10 hours, then a 10 lb butt foiled at 160 - 165° and cooked at 275°, could be down to about 9.5 hours.
Puts you in about the same time frame even though there is more meat.
If you choose not to foil at all, then you are looking at 69 - 72 minutes / lb and 11.5 - 12 hours to cook. _________________ Here's a change Robert.
