Provided your gauge is spot on you are at 1000ft above sea level=210f boiling point.
Chicken looks great, congrats on the WSM! _________________ Lang 84 Deluxe Long Neck w/Char Grill

SWP5767 - Thanks!
Big Bears BBQ - Thanks! I bought it mainly to do briskets, but I may start using it, instead of my ECB, for chicken.
Mrs. K.A.M. - Thank you for the kind words. I love doing chicken quarters and wings. I'm really liking this thing for small cooks. Such consistant temps for so long.
Limp Brisket - I'm not that high (above sea level ). I was just amazed that the gauge read so close (the digital read 211).
I have cooked on it 3 times so far and have had ZERO issues controlling temps. Open the vents, temp goes up. Close em up, temp goes down. Friggin awesome!
Sunday I cooked taters and corn without the water pan and easily hit 300+ with no problem. _________________ The Matt Ryan of LIARS! (#2)

Sorry, I assumed North 'Burbs GA could be Marietta, Alpharetta (or the likes) or even Cummings. The first two would be 1127ft above and Cummings is 1200 above sea level.
I want a WSM now! _________________ Lang 84 Deluxe Long Neck w/Char Grill

Oops, you're right . I thought you said 10000 feet. I'm in Marietta, so I guess the therm is spot on.
I got my WSM from Amazon for $251 with free shipping. Not too bad a deal IMO. Even though our money is tight right now (whose isn't?), I've been wanting one for over a year, so I went for it. _________________ The Matt Ryan of LIARS! (#2)

| BUGS, how long to get thru Amazon? I plan on getting one when I head home from here... 18" or 22"? Been reading about them, and pretty sure that is what I'm getting...How many ribs can you get in? Rack? Mine will be mainly just family, so I probably do not need the 22? |

I ordered it Tuesday evening and it was on my porch Friday morning. I could have paid $36 for 3-5 day shipping . Get the free shipping. I've never ordered anything from them and had it take more than 5 days to get here.
It's an 18".
Dunno about ribs, haven't tried them yet. I would guess 2 racks of full spares, 4 racks of STL cut , or 6 racks of Baby Backs. Put up a post and ask the WSM experts. I'm more of an offset guy, so this has been a new adventure for me. But I'm loving it, so far!
Hope you make it home safely! _________________ The Matt Ryan of LIARS! (#2)
