|
My son decided it was time for a fattie.
We made a list of ideas & came up with a 'meatloaf mashed potatoes & gravy fattie'.
After thinking about it for a while, we decided meatloaf on the outside, mashed potatoes & corn inside, gravy after it's sliced on a plate.
The main ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef
1 pound pork sausage
2 pounds thick bacon
provolone cheese
corn
mashed potatoes
We made up a simple meatloaf with the meat, some onion, eggs, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, s&p, ketchup, etc.
Then flattened it out on some lightly greased foil.
Dusted with bread crumbs & added some real bacon bits.
Next provolone cheese for a barrier between the meat & potatoes.
Then mashed potatoes & more bacon bits.
The Parmesan cheese caught my eye too.
Then corn, s&p and a couple pats of butter
Hey look, I can see pieces of corn in it.
Some edible band-aids to hold it all together.
Wrapped in his blankie last night to sleep in the fridge.
I threw it on the scale when I was done. 8 pounds!
Now if the rain will just let up a bit so I can get it started. _________________ Camp Chef Pro90 Stove w/ Griddle

My local purveyor of corn[ read "farmer guy"] explained to me - if you can see it the next day, it was not good corn.....I have found that does not apply to cashews.... _________________ Money Maker

At 8 pounds, I wouldn't call that a fattie. I would call that an obesity. Looks great. Nice job. _________________ Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results.

OMG
I'm OK, I fell off my chair, when I saw the results
I'm guessing the only way I'll get to taste that is if I make it myself
It was probably gone in 60 seconds
That is AWESOME _________________ Got Fire?
