My friend is getting rid of his Thundercloud Plum Tree and i opted to take it off of his hands Cool Laughing Cool
its pretty big too, i will be helping remove it this Sunday
loading it directly into my truck!
I was wondering if any one has used this particular type of plum wood for makn bbq and if its good for cookn with ?! Question
Also what types of food it works well with and what type of flavors it puts out??

Thanks in advance!

Jon

I've cooked with alot of wild plum, but never any known varieties or ornamentals. The Wild plum is a very light smoke Great for chicken, turkey, and pork. Not a real heavy smoke ring but great flavor!

Thanks Phil c, i guess we will know soon enough within time, gonna have to dry the wood out and cure it,
but when its done, i will be posting on the final outcome for sure. I know this particular tree puts out a
smaller variety of plum fruit, which is edible. I cant wait, its gonna be interesting Very Happy Laughing Very Happy Laughing Very Happy Cool
