Great lookin' feast there Jacky
Now I gotta find some frog legs. It has been too long since I had some.
Did you go gigging or buy them?
I bought some that were imported from Australia. They were the size of a chicken leg.
Too big and not much flavor, IMO.
Hey Mac! Be nice, we're still locked out. _________________ Gunny 3073/4044/8411

Mac you're an Ontario boy and you never ate frog's legs?
Well I'll save ya the trouble, its like a chicken wing that's been dipped in swamp water.
Everyone says they taste like chicken...well they don't they taste like a damn frog...ever catch frogs when you were a kid then smell your hands? It's like that but with a delicate chicken like texture. |

Jarhead i have a # for you on the frog legs Columbia Seafood Market 252-796-9696 - the have some great seafood and can flash freeze and send you anything / and yes frog legs do have a unique taste unless you prepare them right inner10 / i sock mine in a brine of water and salt for 24 hrs rinsing 1 time and replacing the water and salt / no swamp water taste to me / i also bbq them and with some rance or blue cheese anyone will eat them / including small children -/ it's like wild caught catfish and deer meat have gamy taste unless you sock them /

Jacky I'll have to give that a try, I don't hate the frog taste but you get the slightest hint of swamp.
I don't mind the gamy taste of venison, and I've caught and eaten a lot of catfish as a kid so I'm use to it...but you are right on the money they taste of mud! |
