My aunt brought me back some of her fresh caught salmon from her Alaskan fishing trip and I knew just what I wanted to do with it. I coated the salmon in dijon mustard and then coated with brown sugar. I was a little skeptical, but I must say the combination was awesome! I'm not sure why I don't do this more often....

Keep forgetting to get back to this thread & compliment you on a great cook !!!
Fish looks rippin' good & can't beat grilled 'gras for a side
Did the thick planks flavor OK??
I've got some around, but have only used thin ones before....

VERY nice job on that meal tex_toby! That is my mom's favorite version of salmon right there. I agree w/ Buckie on the grilled 'sparagras too . . . it's killer! Dang, now you got me hankerin' for planked salmon!  _________________
