Last night was opening day for my Baylor Bears and what better way to kick off the football season with wings. But I didn't want to just do the same ole wings. I remembered seeing Piri-piri Wings in the Style of Nando's in Steve Raichlen's Planet BBQ. Sounded like the perfect thing.

Here they are goin on the egg at 450

Threw on some corn and sausage

When they came off, I applied the glaze

All plated up

These were some tasty wings. A nice twist on the old classic. They had a bit of a bite, but also had a nice hint of citrus. Next time, I will up the amount of piri-piri sauce as I felt it needed more of kick.

And did you catch that game last night? I thought Baylor was gonna blow it, but they pulled it out in the end!
