Don't be jealous............I didn't even know what I was buying. You just never know what you will find at an estate sale............that's why I go to them. I'm still going to purchase a BDS..........

Be very, very careful with the lid. Those old ones have a problem with the hinge which causes the lid to fall off and shatter.

I'm sure I won't keep it long because the grilling area is too small. I like to do much larger cooks, but for now I'm going to have fun playing with it..............

Flex you will have alot of room in your egg, if you double deck it. Get a weber replacement grill, some long bolts and nuts. I made mine so I could put rib racks top and bottom. { stackem and rackem } good luck.

Flex,

Yes, I know what you mean when you say the grilling area is too small. I have the same problem and can only feed about 65 people per cook in a standard Egg.

This is a picture of my Egg setup as I was prepping it in my kitchen and just before I carried it out and dropped it into my cooker after it got on temp. The butts weighed at 34 pounds and this will feed about 65 people.

When I need more than this, I just have to look at two or more cooks!

I would be happy to buy it from you and even pay for the shipping. I would love to use it as a chicken cooker on my team.
