Our local dry kiln is rebounding from a 2 yr. slump in sales. I haven't had any 8/4 ( 2" thick) scraps in 2-3 years. I got a load last week of kiln dried cherry, along with some beech, maple, red oak, & white ash
It's gonna be a nice time smokin' this fall & winter
8/4 cherry, & 4/4 beech..
..............................
Front to back:
THIN scraps from a local container mfg. plant. Just air dried, but, it starts a fire in 2minutes.
kiln dried 4/4 cherry & maple kiln dried scraps.
large stack of 4/4 maple, cherry, 2 ft. in lenght...works GREAT in ol' Nellie-the horizontal.
a stack of red oak & ash..reserved for poultry & beef.
way in the back..the wife's pile for the living room stove.
bring on fall!!! _________________ This stuff ain't rocket science,,,Great Gramma cooked on a horizontal-partitioned wood smoker every day! |
