I purchased a custom built concession trailer recently with the intent on mounting my Lang 84 Deluxe to the patio section - it happened yesterday!
My two best friends in the world helped - one is the engineer for a major Midwest contractor building breweries, heating and cooling systems, even some nuclear powerplant stuff - I call him the nutty professor [ Mark] - he is a HANDS ON engineer - one of the few I have ever met!! Kevin now works for him and is becoming quite the welder - both were thrilled to take on this task for brisket and smoked shells - n - cheese!!!
Mark freeing the Land from her current trailer:
That horizontal blue contraption on the bench behind is some kind of control for a nuke plant!
Kevin attaching the new legs:
Oh to have the right equipment!!! Mark said the elbows would be $150 to buy, so he would just make them!!!
From plasma cutter, welders, cranes and fork lifts - most any size steel we would need - all there - only had to pay for stuff we used new full lengths of!!! And we only used 2 pcs of that!
The stack didnt fit on the fist try Too tall, hitting the back support of the trailer roof- so we cut it back off, modified it to run along side the rib box, and we were back in Business!
Resting in her new home
Just to be clear, I DID do some grinding, measuring and holding of stuff!!!
2 professionals and a carpenter/cook - it took 8 hours and only 1 mistake - I will gladly take the blame for
Though they will probably never see this post - THANK YOU MARK S. AND KEVIN K!!! AND to all you Ringers for the inspiration!!!
Off to paint it all today - then get a log burn in!!! _________________ Money Maker

Tony, with the way Mark applied the gradual bends rather than hard 90°'s I believe your flow will be fine. I do think there will be a slight learning curve for you on this as far as your intake settings are concerned but as far as performance and efficiency I think you will still be in the same ball park as before. I look forward to hearing about the first burn. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Mr T, congrats on getting the Lang moved to its new home. Your friends did a great job on getting it in place and looking like it belonged there from the start. Thats a very nice setup for sure. Congrats again
On a side note, Im pretty sure I can speak for Kevin when I say we both wish we had that shop and all the equiptment sitting in our back yards Makes jobs so much easier when you have the room and tools to make it happen! _________________ X2 Finished Build

Thanks all!! In the middle of a hot burn to clean it up and test temps - I had also moved the positions of the Thermo's closer to grate level on the other than "normal" side - so that is helping / messing with my learning curve Nonetheless, she is burning great, and the horizontal portion of the stack is nowhere near as hot as I was expecting [ even with rig running over 400° ] which was another concern of mine!
Gonna cool her down and toss in some leg/thighs [ half my regular dry rub, half Montego Bay Jerk Spice] and garlic/ herb roasted taters, slaw -then some sausage and cheese stuffed mushroom for hourderves and an American flag frosted marble cake for desert! [ Marks Son the Marine will be here, he's home on leave]
