Truck Alone:
Steer Axle - 2920 lb
Drive Axle - 2480 lb
Trailer Axle - 0 lb
Truck and Trailer:
Steer Axle - 2840 lb
Drive Axle - 2680 lb
Trailer Axle - 3760 lb
Seems the trailer is 3760 + 200 on the rear axle of the truck? So 3960 and 200 tongue weight? |

I initially thought the same way as you, but changed my answer after reading on an RV forum. The way I now understand it is that tongue weight is the difference between Steer Axle + Drive Axle with the trailer hooked and unhooked. You had to take into account the shift from Steer Axle.
So I'm getting (5520 with trailer - 5400 truck only) = 120 lbs. Not much confidence on my answer; I could be wrong. Either way, it's way under the reccomended. _________________ Tim B.

brog315, set a piece of plywood on top a bathroom scale and jack the trailer down on it. Make sure the scale is on a hard surface. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.
