I tried some Cowboy all natural briquettes last week when we were camping in NH. Only used for grilling but it got HOT. Had a nice aroma and flavor, almost like a good lump charcoal.. I was very impressed.
Haven't seen it around me but if I do I will keep some on hand. _________________ Chris from Uxbridge,MA

Hmmm I have not had much success with straight Cowboy. Maybe they are cleaning up their act?? _________________ Vertical Offset

I haven't seen the briquettes. I've tried the lump twice. The first was a small bag I bought quite awhile bag, lotta small stuff then I recently got a 20# bag for $6.00, nice big chunks, looked impressive but still spaked and poped like the 4th. Never tried any lump in the smoker just use it for grill'n _________________ WSM 22.5 - Chargriller Pro

| I have to wonder if Cowboy has improved their act. I've read a lot of negative reviews of their product around the net. When I first got my grill a few months ago, it was the only lump I could find at the time. I bought 2 bags and both were pretty nice. It was good lump chunks of raw wood, as opposed to the lumber waste that a lot of people were talking about. Since then I've found a source for Mali's and I haven't looked back but I do wonder if they've started to improve their product. |
