Hey Guy's I want to put the trimmings from my ribs in my Baked Beans. Should they go in raw and cook w/the beans or should they already be cooked? Very Happy

If it were me, I'd set the beans under the ribs in the smoker for the last hour to hour and a half the ribs cook, depending on temps, and then mix in the cooked trimmings. This is assuming canned beans.

I buy whole rack spares and trim to St. Louis I smoke the trimmings and they get chopped and go into the beans.

Unless your cooking your beans for 10 hours, I would cook them ahead also!

Ha, I burnt mine. lololol I put a big old dutch oven in my smoker full of my cowboy beans. I'm thinking they can just sit there and be ok. At about three hours I decide to look and I had concrete beans. They may have worked out if i had stirred them on occasion. Embarassed They may have also been in a hot spot. Not sure.
