I only got half the burn time and not as hot using Stubb's natural briquettes as compared to Kingsford blue charcoal in my UDS. Has anyone else found this to be the case?

Nope....never had that issue....prolly because I won't use Kingsford.
I normally use lump but I've had a few cooks recently using only Stubbs and had no issues other than I don't think it burns as long but temp. control was fine and approx 10 lbs lasted a solid 16 hrs. when I shut her down. Had a little left in the basket but not much

Never had the issue with Stubbs. Its all i burn in my UDS. Its easy to load and it gives a lot less ash then blue bag. Ive never used K in my uds but a full load of stubbs in my uds will go over 20 hours without a problem.

I too was not impressed with the burn time.. Held temp steady.. It also created very little ash as compared to K..

I went through 8 bags of Stubbs in my UDS before trying kingsford blue. The blue stuff didn't burn nearly as hot, and I found myself fiddling with the intakes more to keep temp up. Lots more ash build up, and I had to kick the bottom of the drum twice as often to keep fire going well.

Given a choice, I rather use Stubbs any day. On burn time, I could get 16-18 hours on about 10 lbs.
