Somebody told me that a long time ago.
But I sure can't remember HER name. She was an avid hunter though
See, ya just thought I was gonna step across that 3 day vacation line.
I haven't had quail in ages. Those look killer. _________________ Gunny 3073/4044/8411

Once apon a time we had tons of quail here in sw fl. then they started spraying for mosquitos- pretty much the end of the quail. I remember as a kid hunting for them with a daisy bb gun. It was not unusual for me to go out in the pine/palmetto thickets & get enough to feed a family of 6 kids in an hr. or two. DAMN |

They are better than chicken and you can grill one up in about 12 minutes.
I have been raising them. I have 102 on the ground now and almost another 100 in the incubator.
Jess, another problem with the quail population is the protection of the sand hill cranes. The cranes love quail eggs and since they are ground birds their eggs are easy prey. _________________ The Wild Pig build.

And of course the biggest problem is that their fav. habitat is high pine/ palmeto areas, which is the Fl. developers fav. Not knocking development but there has to be a limit somewhere JMHO... |
