Always be sure your charcoal ash has rested at least 24 hours before throwing it in the Green Waste can, especially when it is full of dry weeds and grass.

being a country boy, we take our garbage to the dump, and have burning barrels in the back yard [ to algores shagrin] they started making us bring the ash in plastic bags for just this reason! Ever see a 40 yard dumpster up in flames??!! Waste management dont take too kindly to picking up empty, black, warped dumpsters!!
