had posted a recipe for this in another post made some today and thought i would show how good they look

waiting to rise

rose good

roll out in balls and let rise again. made some bigger to try and make buns

wait about and hour to rise again

then they are ready for the oven 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees

notice the one gone in the back that was a taste test. it passed

jalapeno onion and cheese rolls recipe

1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water mixed together at 110 degrees add
6 tps. yeast or 2 package with
1/4 cup sugar let it set while you dice. should froth up by then
6 jalapeno peppers diced seeds and all
1/2 onion diced ( small to med onion)
4 oz shredded cheese ( about 1 cup)
1/3 cup melted shorting (i used the butter flavor)
1 egg
1 egg yolk
pinch of salt
5 cups of flour

add everything except flour to the milk water sugar and yeast and mix.
if you are hand mixing just start mixing in flour 1 cup at a time till is just tacky enough to handle.if using kitchenaide start with 4 cups and add till pulls from side.
shape in a ball and put in grease bowl and cover for 1-2 hours should double.
punch down and knead just very little.
pinch off and roll into balls about golf ball size place on large greased sheet pan should make 2 dozen
let set cover for about and hour should double again.
bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 mins.

don't let the six jalapenos scare you the rolls are not hot just has the jalapene flavor
this is what i use to make my pull pork sliders

i almost forgot do not bake these on an empty stomach they smell better than at the fair when that guy is throwing onions on the grill
