I wonder if you thinking 8 fluid oz rather than 8 mass oz, by weight. Either way 8 fluid oz is 1 cup and 8 mass oz is 1/2 pound of meat, both are a lot of meat. That plus sides and appetizers at a shower? In my family and around these parts there would be left-overs which isn't a bad thing as long as those that are paying for the groceries know this. It it were a bunch of guys watching football I might agree, but a women's shower?
