| Well its a fruit wood and I have used it from my Plum tree, from trimmings. It seemed ok kinda like anyother fruit tree. I only use fruit wood in my smoker except for mesquite to get the pit up to temp. As you may know just stay away from pine, fir or anything of the sort cause it will ruin your pit and I have heard you cant get the taste, smell out. Good luck and happy Q'n |

Some say it is ok. I just got back from Serbia and they use it quite a bit. I have found the meats to be a little acidic/bitter but I cannot say if it was the species of wood or that it was not dry enough _________________ Pat

| I use alot of wild plum just because I've got alot on the property. Its really good for salmon and pork, not to bad on chicken either. Just make sure its well seasoned |
