Has anyone had any experience with the Best Choice briquettes?
I know that the Best Choice lump is made by RO ...... and I wondered about their briquettes ... so I sent Associated Wholesale Grociers an e-mail asking who made them, .... This is what I got back;

Thank you,

So, ........ What does the phrase "100% Hardwood Charcoal" on the bag really mean???
Any ideas???
Thanks

It means you start with 100% hardwood charcoal, add sawdust, coal dust, binders..... |

I bought Royal Oak Briquettes once by accident at Walmart. Thought it was a bag of lump, won't make that mistake again.
I may use it for heat in the fireplace, but for food, it is lump and wood chunks, no briquies.

I used RO briqs in the red bag a couple of years ago and they were fine, even had a nice aroma like Stubbs.
RO Steakhouse Briquettes on the other hand are soft and do not get very hot.
They also make the Family Dollar brand and I think they are the Steakhouse briqs in another package, so maybe this is what you have. |
