Well this is my first attempt at building a smoker. Here are a few shoots of the build so far.
Firebox, 1/4" plate that I welded together.

Fitting the firebox to the 60 gal tank

Added some legs so I cold get it off the ground.

Burning the tank

Just a shot of it as it continues to burn.

Reverse plate is ready to be welded in, need to pick up a 3" section of pipe for stack and make up some hinges for Smoker and firebox. Getting closer.[/img]

Hello Rasper it looks you you are off to a great start on your build, will be looking forward to watching you finish and start enjoying some goof BBQ off of it. BTW them are some good looking bobbers in your picture.

Looks great! I'm just finishing up an 80 gallon build. You're going to love it. Enjoy the build and then enjoy your food. Smile

Well its been a long time and the build was put on hold for awhile. But after many years of collecting dust in the corner we got back into gear!

Here is my 10 year old kicking it into high gear, laying down some welds on the air intake doors!

And here it is ready for first cook run, there is more work to do but my 10 year old really help me get back on this project!

Been a long time since posting pictures so not sure how this will work out. If not I will correct later.
