Do any of you guys own the Bayou Classic Cypress Ceramic Grill?..the one that is $699 at Lowe's with stand and side tables. After looking at it and the BGE multiple times, it appears to be almost identical to the egg with a different colored finish.
If you own the Cypress, please tell me your experience.

After buying my second cooker, the little woman kept on and on about buying her a grill just for her and she wanted that one so I did.Well so far the only food that has been cooked on it has been by me. I can't give you a good answer on smoking anything yet but as a grill well it's a grill. I'm still trying to figure out how to control the heat to get the temps I want to cook with and how much charcoal to use.The only thing that has come out bad was the practice cook for a comp the chicken came out well not so good

I had looked at them but heard news that some were being returned for cracking. Hopefully they have that fixed now. I have a friend who loves his. The green Egg is a fine cooker until you tip it over. None of these type rigs take a fall very well, so be carefull in that respect. I like steel myself. Very Happy

I have a steel horizontal smoker and a steel brinkman vertical smoker. They work great in warm weather, but in cold weather, they don't work well. Everyone who has a green egg or primo seems to be happy. This seems to be just about almost identical to a green egg.
Thanks for the feedback.
