Good luck with this newmeat! While you have a good idea, and lots of people will (maybe) express interest, it is difficult to arrange a formal gathering of people that you dont really know!

I speak from experience as partycooker and I tried to get something going this fall. Lots of interest last year, and not too many takers! While we had a GREAT time with Jason and his friend, I'm glad we had planned this around a vacation that we were going on regardless! Very Happy

I can round up plenty of friends and family for a party in my own backyard, and save a pile of money! Wink

Well at NJ TP exit 3. I'll keep an eye out for this but I don't have a camper or a truck so sleeping is an issue and a one day event in the Pocono's is a LOT of driving!!! I also smoke on an electric bradley so that could cause some issues too, I guess long story short is I'd probably be a no go. A more details come out that might change, I'm always interested in tasting the experts different styles and tastes so who knows!?!?!

You would be awake all night anyway, Wink so you don't really need a camper or a truck, if you live life on the edge, you can get a nights sleep in the passenger seat of your car, note I don't say a great or a good nights sleep but just a nights sleep.

Looks like it is about time you checked out auctions and pawn stores for a small electrical generator, while you are at that you might look for a hitch and a popup trailor, and you are fixed up for all the things you might need.Very Happy

I can't do anything about the driving, a long drive is a long drive is a long drive, but you can always drive a way, take a nap, drive another ways, take another nap etc. Still a long drive, but every time you wake up it is a shorter one.

Sure does!

I have lived on the edge so much I can almost sleep standing up, or laying on top of a picket fence...

I have knocked over because I was standing next to it when I fell a sleep. Laughing

Keep the contacts coming. I have quite a bit of equipment available, tents, tarps, a couple of big smokers. The camp ground has a large pavilion that I have access to and the guy who owns the campground is very co-operative. Frank

hey I might be interested!!! For the spring. It is on a weekend right? I have two weekends off a month so it shoule be ok. I have a tent is this a tenting campground? I could bring my wife and daughter. You should let us know about the nightly fee and if there is a shower house and stuff like that. How about the name of the campground? I am about three or four hours from the poconos. We camp there often. I could trailer up my smoker. Let us know what the campgounds name is and keep us posted .

Don't know what my schedule will look like that far in advance, but hazelton is only about 4 hours north of here so I might be interested. Likely won't know for sure until we are alot closer to April or May..

The name of the campground Is paradise campground. There is a shower house and a large pavillion. There is no game room or store at the campground.I believe the name of the road it is located on is Old Mountain Rd. About 5 miles from the Nescopeck exit off I-80 Rte 93.
I am thinking maybe middle of June. There is a very nice amusement park about 30 minutes away called Knoebels. Frank

Not sure if I'm bumping this thread but we are getting closer to spring...even though there's snow on the ground. If the Bam from Philly replied is Bam Margera then I'm in for sure, although he'd probably scare everyone else away!!!!

To be serious, Bam, I'm outside of Philly, Washington Twp...you know the place where all the South Philly transplants have gone. If we both go it'd probably be a good idea to meet up follow one another. Gotta convince the wife to rough it for a few nights too though.

If this is a bump post, has there been any new news????
