I've seen a few posts about "The Chicken" and figured I'd give fried chicken on the grill a shot. I soaked some bone-in chicken thighs in chicken broth for 12 hours:

Then soaked them for 24 hours in buttermilk:

I used a combination of finely ground panko bread crumbs and chicken fry mix to coat the chicken:

Once the chicken was seasoned, I dipped it in batter, coated it with the breading mix, and tossed it on the grill with corn on the cob and some potato wedges coated in olive oil, rosemary, and garlic:

Dinner is served:

Pretty tasty. The crust was nice and crunchy and the chicken was very tender and flavorful.

For dessert, I started with the some grilled strawberries:

Earlier that day, I whipped up some smoked french vanilla gelato:

Grilled strawberry sundae:

Simply devine good eats.

That looks amazing.
I never thought of doing chicken that way. Or strawberries either.

I just have one question for explanation as everything looks good.

Chicken in chicken broth? Why? How and what does it do?
I have some suspicions but would like to hear your reasoning, please.
Thanks!
Cool
