Hello Ringers, wanted to fill you in on what I have been working on over the past couple months. I decided to try my hand at building my new bbq pit and catering trailer. So I am learning how to weld bought a couple welders and got busy. The plan is to build a true Texas Style direct cooking bbq pit out of a 500 gallon propane tank. The pit will rest on and trailer with other cooking equipment. Here we go.

Found the tanks. Thanks to my new bubby "Light Cap" He had his assiatant cut the ends off for me while I walked down the road a piece...LOL Shocked

My buddy Rodney loading her up while Light Cap looked on.

Got the twins home safley and now headed over to my buddy Mr. Williams to drop the tanks and start the building process.

The next day we built a fire in the tanks to burn out the propane smell.

Cut the valve ports out and ground down.

Set the tanks up on rollers, marked and cut out the doors.

Flanges tacked to doors and doors fitted on tank.

Rails and Stacks installed.

Thanks for looking. More to come stay tuned Very Happy

A heck of a lot of work going on there.

Are you going with fire in the bottom of each pit, in a draw?

Keep on keeping on I want to see everything that you do with them and the way you are thinking of running them! Wink
