Thanks Mike!
Had to chuckle about my sauce entry. Looks like the only team I beat w/ it was the Polish team. Judges must have hated it somethin' fierce. Funny thing is....that same sauce was all over the ribs that came in 2nd.
Like I said, the scoring was all over the place. _________________ Mike

The Jack uses celebrity judges instead of KCBS judges. They give them a class before the event but I'm not sure how many attend the class. There are some top notch teams there obviously, so I find it hard to believe that there is much bad food turned in.
My chicken scores ranged from a 998 to a 755
Ribs were consistent with a couple 999s and a low of 987
Pork ranged from 888 to 958
Brisket was the worst, 999, 977, 888, 778, 866, 555. 9 slices from the same flat. I thought it was one of the best I'd cooked all year. Shows what I know...  _________________ Mike

My congrats go out to Mike at the Smokedelics for their fine finish and also out to the balance of the people that did get a chance to walk as well.
Was a dream come true for our team to even get an invite and then to get a JUG and a 16th overall out of 65 of the best teams in the world, what more can I say. It is still not sunk in. _________________ Old Dave

A 16th place in that field is something anyone would (and dang sure should) be proud of. Since we don't cook in the same contest, I may be hitting you up for some tips. I have to go head to head with Mike at every contest, I need help.
