I've been sitting here thinking about Mike (Smokedelics) being in Lynchburg all evening so I went and poured me a big ol' shot of Black Jack. I would like to propose a toast to Smokedelics and thier success at the "Jack" this weekend. We wish you the absolute best Mike!

Bad Luck Mike (it's something we say to each other when we compete).
FYI, talked to Mike last night as he was heading out to the Parade of competitors.
LOTS of rain. He said about 5 or 6" of rain. He put a pallet in front of his smoker just to have a place to stand. They tried using hay bails to soak up the water...but I don't think there was enough hay in Lynchburg to help.
More reports tonight after he calls me.

It has been a tough couple of days here, at least 70 miles away. Cooking last night was no easy task.
Wish them all the best. |

Thanks Patrick, I think I may have been having a shot around that time myself as I was watching the webbing grow between my toes.
Your toast did the trick so I hope you'll be available for my next contest to do the same thing....this is how traditions get started. _________________ Mike

Mike,
For Stillwater, let's start a new one. Since we can't "copy" CloneSicles, what do you suggest. The 11am "toast" is a great idea.
Personally, I vote for an Anejo Tequila. |

I'd lean toward Michael Collins Single Malt Irish Whiskey myself. _________________ Mike
