I have 250 gallon reverse flow smoker and a 20" X 60" charcoal grill that I am wanting to mount to a trailer. I have a 6 X 12 utility trailer with a 3500 Lb. axle, 15" wheels and a 2" X 12" pressure treated deck. What are your thoughts concerning a wooden floor vs a metal floor? I have priced 3 4' X 8' sheets of 1/8" diamond plate but that's a $4.00.00 adder.

What's the spacing of the trailer floor cross members? Depending on the weight distribution/leg placement you may see some bowing in the ATP after a few trips up and down the road. You are talking steel ATP vs. aluminum right?

The supports are 2" X 3 " on 24 " centers. The bottom of the tank will be about 14" from the trailer floor; I hopr this helps.

ClydeDale, if you go tread plate I would up the thickness to 3/16". 1/8" tread plate is not gonna cut it with 24" center cross members in my opinion.

ClydeDale, I have to agree with k.a.m. on this one. If you go with 1/8 tread, you will need 12"-14" centers. By the time you add the extra $$$ in crossmembers, you might be about the same amount of the 3/16th matieral.

Just my 2c worth.
