Better late than never. I hope these post . I did my first butt yesterday, my wife let me get a masterbuilt 30" on Saturday, but I still plan to do a UDS build soon. Anyway let me know what you think. It is my first smoke ever.
Dry rub on and ready to go in.

So far so good. Temps holding, and a little hickory rolling.

A few hours in, as you can see I started to score the fat but decided not to.

Well here it is. I think it turned out pretty darn good, it was super moist and tender. I put the beans in with about 2 hours left to go.

I believe that's the same Masterbuilt that I have. Mine says Bass Pro on the front, but it's just because they sold it for Masterbuilt. Still says Masterbuilt everywhere else, and I LOVE that thermostat. I got it because I wanted to get started smoking the easy way, and then build me a big smoker. That butt looks good, read everything you can on here. I cooked 2 butts in mine at 220 I believe, for about 14 hours and they got to 199 and 202 degrees and I pulled them out, they were perfect!

Great looking cook. I have the same 30" Masterbuilt electric on the way right now, and your post makes me think it was a good purchase. Now I can't wait for the Wally World ship to store to hurry up and contact me when the new cooker is in.
