I've been using a Weber Q for just over a week now.

While, it will never take over from my Big Geen Egg, it's a very impressive little machine.

So far, I've cooked a heap of stuff on it - from buttermilk pancakes to roast chicken.

I wanted something that was portable (for weekends away) and could be used in places such as national parks where there are total bans on any form of 'wood fire' (and that includes charcoal used in kettles).

Between the egg, the Q and my kettle, I'll never have to cook in the kitchen again Very Happy

I've got a Weber "Q" also. Just love it for tailgating and small picnics.

I seared thick ribeyes last night with no problems and have also roasted a chicken. But, like all Webers, you cook with the lid down.

Gas use is much less because of the burner design and efficiency with the lid closed. It seems to use about a quarter of the propane my old gasser needed.

I cooked 30 1/2 pound hamburgers, and about as many brats at one tailgate party. I used less than one cylinder. I have since gotten an adapter for a 20# bottle so I don't have to keep buying the little cylinders
