Please Make Pictures No Larger Than 650px On The Longest Side!
No dimension shall exceed 650px. Height or width, longest side is the longest side and must be reduced below 651px in length, in whole pixels, (i.e. 650px or less).
If you came back to a thread or a post that you put pictures bigger than 650px, and they change into links, make them smaller so they don't break the site.
If you repost them at the larger size a second time, I'll be happy to take that as a request for a ban... one of my New Year resolutions was to not allow the site to be broken, all those in favor say Aye!
If you want to use a freebie editor, I recommend Irfanview!
Go grab a copy of Irfanview install it on you computer.
Then open up this URL how to batch resize pictures in Irfanview!
Follow the instructions, and life is good! _________________ Here's a change Robert.

You can also set photobucket to resize a photo to your settings when you upload a photo.
You can also resize within photobucket if you have them in there allready.

I usually use the quick upload green button - I finally found the option under the bulk uploader and hit save, I hope it saved for quick upload too..... _________________ Money Maker

How far back in time is The Great Resizing Purge going? Do we need to look WAY back, or just a little bit back?

You can also set the picture size to VGA in your camera, then you don't have the hassle of resizing. |

Some sites will not allow you upload pic beyond a certain size...not the site, but the program they run. Any chance your new upgrade (whenever that happens) has that function? It would help you out alot. _________________ Somewhere in Kenya...a village is missing their idiot. |

I'm not backtracking... but if threads and post start getting resurrected, I'll start asking or knocking back to links just as I am now!

Well then you're lucky...I'll only be knocking back your pictures randomly!

It is available as a modification to automatically resize pictures on the site, there is a second that does the same to all Avatar images too, and you can get a third that does signature line images!
But at the end of the day, it would be so much easier... for me, if folks just understood and posted pictures of an appropriate size, and as mentioned by others there are many methods to do that in the first place.
I was surprised to find a couple of images over 3,000px wide over the weekend, I don't know any forums on the web that accept them that big, (there will be some just to prove a point), but people are still posting them, come on folks get real with picture sizing.
I will be happy if we update the site to take the action, I'd be happy if the size functionality that is on the site already was active, I'll be happy if teh members police themselves and let folks now when they see the adverts on the right of any thread getting squashed, as that's the time I start stepping in!
I hope everyone understands and contributes pictures of an appropriate size! _________________ Here's a change Robert.
