I built my reverse flow smoker and didnt care for how it cooked. I always wanted a rotissary so why not build it. I didnt start pics for a few weeks but will get you up to speed.
1. cut smoke chamber in half
2. cut 1.5 inch holes in reverse plate
3. cut weld cap off end of smoker
4. adding 24 inches to smoker raising it up for clearance.
5. started making rotissary.

| Howdy henrybob: Good looking build, I wanted to make my last build a rotisserie but I chickened out, hope to see some more pic’s of your drive system and rest of your build, just wondering are you going to put a access door to clean under the heat diffuser? |

| i have a special made rake with the contour of the chamber base which i can clean out from under the defuser thru the fire box. Plus i have a drain for the grease drippings. |

Love the idea of the rotissary.
Was this a fuel barrel?
If it is was, what is the wall thickness? I have an old fuel barrel I might use for a future build and I haven't cut into it. I am curious to what the wall thickness might be?

this was an old fuel tank/ propane its wall thickness is 1/4 inch. I cut the caps off both ends. |
