|
|
Several people have asked that I turn the BBQ Workbook into a PDF since many don't have Excel.
It took a while to get it done, but it's now available, free as usual, at the following link: http://bubbachow.com/workbook12_2010.pdf
The sticky should be updated soon as well.
As always, send me ideas that you would like to see in here and I'll see about getting it done.
I still need a PP procedure, moink ball procedure, and I lost the fattie procedure that was sent to me...

Awesome! Has the Excel file been updated recently? I like that because you can cut and past/print. I really don't know anyone that can't open a spreadsheet. There is a free Office suite out there if needed.

I haven't done anything with the Excel version yet since I've been getting everything over into the PDF. Going from Excel to word proved to be a PITA.
Some of the tests that people did for me showed that they could copy/paste from the PDF... Try it and let me know.
The Excel version is going to need some work, but if folks want it as well I can see what I can do.

You're right, I can cut and past. Just can't save if I want to add comments or anything but that's ok. Thanks for all the work you put into this. _________________ Pat

I'm glad everyone is liking it!
I have a couple of more items I may add this weekend and am still looking for the procedures referenced at the beginning. Any who submit will get credit for it in the workbook.

Nice! Now you just need a way that people can be notified to get the latest version when it is updated.

Yep, that's the kicker... Only thinkg I can think of is to ressurrect this thread each time I do and post in the title that it's updated...
On the Cranky Buzzard FB group I send out a PM to all members, but not everyone on here has it.

Charlie, no need to resurrect this thread. SoEzzy has already posted your links in your sticky. Now all you have to do is everytime you update just post a new thread saying you have updated the book and add the link to the one in the sticky. My meds are kicking in I hope this makes sense. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Very good job, definitely going on the desktop. I would like to make a suggestion for a beef rib "how-to" to be included.
Thanks. |

Is it helping?
HOPEFULLY the PDF version will NOT take as much ink since I pared it down a bit and tried to keep things from "running over" from a margin standpoint.
For those that don't need full color pics, I suggest a B&W version for sure! The pared down version is still 40 pages and looks to even larger after this weekend if all goes as planned!
Coming up: Fattie, smoked cheese, and beef rib procedures as written by Ringers!
Anyone got that PP procedure ready yet?
